I was wondering what art sells the best on here, I mean I can do Abstract art, Landscapes, seascapes and others but was wondering witch one really dose well in a gallery type setting. Some pictures do better in an art show out doors and some do well indoors. I need some ideas as to witch way to go with this.

Can I plaese get some feed back from some one who has been doing this for a while? People say I do great work but I think it will do me some good to have somebody look at my work on here.

If I upgrade to an artist portfolio will that get me better advertizments with in this site ?

Plaese for give me I am new to all of this.
Thanks for your help

Your asking the $100,000.00 question, as to what sells. There is no real answer to that, unless you are a marketer instead of an artist. best to just create what you love most to create and go from there. Yes some kinds of art sell better in different venues, but again not the best way to aprouch this business of art, in my opinion. Paint from your heart and show it where you can.

If you want to sell, then I think that you have to be a different sort of artist than the artist who paints ONLY from his heart.

To actually sell art seems like an arduous task, compared to its pure creation. Really, you have to spend more time marketing, looking for leads, following up potential interests, audience development, etc. If your goal is to sell, then you have to do these things. There are too many good artists to just paint from your heart and hope for the best, as far as selling goes.

I know of one artist who used to be a professional poker player, and he said that playing poker professionally takes the pure fun or fulfillment out of it, and that he felt similarly about his art too.
